A recent New Haven area truck accident caused a road in Clinton, Connecticut to be shutdown and Eversource to investigate the accident and mobilize to turn power back on to area residents who lost it when the truck spun out of control and sideswiped a number of utility poles. Since the start of the global pandemic traffic deaths have been on the rise in the United States. In fact, in the second half of 2020 all the way through the end of 2022 and into 2023 deaths from auto accidents have been alarmingly high. In what seems like an every week occurrence another wrong way New Haven auto accident has occurred leaving one dead and closing multiple lanes of i-95. These incidents continue to be a major problem in the state of Connecticut and are leaving safety officials scratching their heads at how to protect drivers and passengers from these reckless events.
