New Laws That Take Effect January 1

When the clock struck midnight this morning, January 1, 17 new laws went into effect in the State of Connecticut. Below are some highlights:

  1. Employers will no longer be allowed to ask job applicants about their salary history.
  2. Health insurance policy will be required to carry health benefits for women, children, and teens.
  3. Prosthetic devices will have some insurance coverage.
  4. Establishment of Healthy Homes Fund to aid those with crumbling foundations.
