In 2018, 40,000 people were estimated to have lost their lives in auto accidents. Car accidents are a top cause of death in the United States and have massive destructive potential to both people and property. There are, however, a few accident types that are well known for their destruction.

  1. Pile Up Accidents. When multiple vehicles are involved in an accident it increases the likelihood that someone will suffer an injury.
  2. Head On Collisions. When head-on collisions occur there is a very high chance of fatality since the driver is getting the full force of the accident of the front. If they are not wearing a seatbelt they are absolutely hitting the windshield and even if they are, the force alone will cause serious injury.
  3. Rollover Accidents. Rollovers are particularly dangerous since it makes abandoning the vehicle much more difficult and also the rolling itself can cause significant injury should the people in the car not be wearing seatbelts.
  4. T-Bone Accidents. When it comes to t-bone accidents the sides of a vehicle are typically the most vulnerable in comparison to the front and back that at least have some kind of buffer. A car smashing into a driver’s side at high speed is almost assuredly going to end up severely injuring the driver, or worse.
